About Us

We are a non-profit organization comprised of a board of directors, staff and volunteers.

The human condition involves many opportunities for people to hurt and suffer. The Gospel, dispensed through the Church, is God’s answer to this problem. The church has been involved in soul-care for centuries. In recent times, the church seems to have abdicated its responsibility and deferred soul-care to secular organizations and professionals. We believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ and obedience to His Word is what is needed to address our current human and cultural dilemma.

In His Word, God has given us what we need to address any problem we face. As the church embraces her call to teach what God has revealed, the impact of the gospel and the power of God becomes evident.

Jesus commanded the church to go and teach (Matt. 28:19). Relational Impact Ministries is called to help equip Believers to do the work of ministry. The Apostle Paul taught the church to teach faithful people who will be able to teach others (2 Tim. 2:2). We assist local churches in this ministry objective.

Our Beliefs

Relational Impact Ministries is built on the following tenets of the Christian faith. These beliefs shape the philosophy and values upon which this ministry is built.

We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:15-17; 2 Pet. 1:21; 1 Thess. 2:13).

We believe in One God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Isa. 43:10, 11; Matt.28:19; Luke 3:22)

We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Scriptures declare:

  • His Equality with God; (John 1:1; Phil.2:6; Heb. 1:3)
  • His virgin birth; (Matt. 1:24; Luke 1:31,35)
  • His sinless life; (Heb. 4:15; 7:26; 1 Pet. 2:22)
  • His substitutionary work on the cross; (1 Cor. 15:3; 2 Cor. 5:21)
  • His bodily resurrection from the dead; (Matt. 28:6; Luke 24:39; 1 Cor. 15:4)
  • His exaltation to the right hand of God; (Acts 1:9,11; 2:33; Phil. 2:9-11; Heb.1:3)

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit as the revealer of divine truth, comforter, guide, and intercessor of all believers, by whose indwelling presence, believers are enabled and empowered to live a godly life. (John 3:5-6; 14:16-17; Rom . 8:9; 1 Cor. 6:19; 12:13; Eph. 1:13-14; 4:30)

We believe that salvation is a free gift from God, which cannot be earned by any effort on man’s part. (Eph. 2:8,9; Rom. 3:24;2 Tim. 1:9)

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ as one body, of which He is the head. (1 Cor. 12:14-27)

We believe in Christ’s visible and triumphant second coming. (Matt. 24:44; Acts 1:11; Col. 3:4; 2 Tim. 4:8; Heb. 9:28; Mark 8:38; 1 Thess. 4:16-17; 2 Thess. 1:10; Rev. 1:7).

What we Believe about Counseling

We align with the statements of beliefs below:

The International Association of Biblical Counselors Affirmations and Denials.

For a vision and definition of the philosophy of Biblical Counseling, we endorse the Confessional Statement of the Biblical Counseling Coalition which can be found in the Biblical Counseling Coalition Confessional Statement.

What we Believe about Marriage:

Relational Impact Ministries (RIM) is a Christian organization, whose beliefs and values are based upon the Inspired written Word of God, the Bible.

As a Religious Christian organization, we believe that God created marriage to be exclusively the union of one man and one woman and that the term “marriage” has only one meaning, which is the union, sanctioned by God, which joins one man (male from birth) and one woman (female from birth) in an exclusive personal relationship which includes sexual intimacy (Genesis 2:22-24; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:22-33). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and woman who are married to each other (Proverbs 5:18-19; Hebrews 13:4).

Our Core Values

The following core values shape and guide how we function and how we prioritize our work:

  • The Sovereignty of God: We believe that God is the author of life and that He works in the affairs of people to bring about His pleasure and glory (Eph. 1:11; Rom. 8:28). He is the Hope of the world (Rom. 15:3; Eph. 2:12). He created every human being and is the best and only authority on what each person needs.
  • Sufficiency of Scripture: We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Tim. 3:15-17, 2 Pet. 1:21). God has revealed both the human problem with sin and the divine solution through Jesus Christ.
  • The Necessity of Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus is God’s only hope for life and sanity. Jesus is the only way to God the Father and a right relationship with Him. There is no other Name given under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
  • The active ministry of the Holy Spirit in the heart of individuals. We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent by Jesus from God the Father. He draws people to Christ and seals them as His own. He is active in guiding Believers through the sanctification process as He conforms each Believer in Jesus into His image (Rom. 8:29)
  • Security of Believers: We believe that those who are redeemed and come to saving faith will never lose their salvation but will
remain in Him. Believers may fall into sin through neglect, spiritual weakness, and temptation, whereby
they grieve the Holy Spirit, degrade their graces and joys, and bring reproach on the cause of Christ and
temporal judgments on themselves. Even so, they will be kept by the power of God through faith unto
salvation, sanctified by His spirit, and will never fall away from the state of grace but will endure to the
end. They will never fall fully and completely because God, by His grace, preserves them. The
intercession of Christ for those God has called is efficacious unto eternity.
    (Philippians 1:6; John 10: 28-29; 17:11, 24; Psalms 32:3-5; 51:8, 10, 12; 89:31-33; Isaiah 63:17; Jeremiah 31:3;
    2 Peter 1:10; 1 John 3:9; Matthew 7:22-23; Mark 6:52; 16:14; 1 Peter 1:5,9; II Timothy 2:18-19; Hebrews
    10:10, 14; Hebrews 13:20-21; Hebrews 6:17-18; 7:25; 9:12-15; Romans 5:2,5; 8:33-39; I Corinthians 11:32; II
    Thessalonians 3:3; Ephesians 4:30; I John 2:3; 3:14, 18-19, 21, 24. Revelation 2:4)
  • Biblical Counseling: We believe that God’s Word is the instrument that the Holy Spirit uses to accomplish His work. The Bible is sufficient for counseling, discipleship, and for revealing the wisdom of God to individuals. God’s Word is alive and powerful and is able to discern the condition of the heart and thereby cause inner transformation that reveals itself in outward change (Heb.4:12).
